Cis-3-Hexenyl Acetate Natural Isolate

Adam Michael has this to say “This Cis-3-Hexenyl Acetate Natural Isolate smells of unripe green bananas, crushed banana leaves and very grassy. A very diffusive top note that used sparingly will impart a fresh green foliage quality to white and delicate florals such as sweet pea and lilac. Another must for building gardenia accords and pairs well with jasmine and ylang materials. Also called Leaf Acetate, and should you find Cis-3-Hexenyl Acetate Natural Isolate too potent, I encourage you to create a 25% dilution in alcohol.”

Arctander has this to say “This ester finds considerable use in perfumes, where it may lend pleasant and natural freshness to delicate florals (Muguet, Lilac, Narcisse, etc.) and participate in creating true-to-nature, foliage-green topnotes in other fragrance types.”

Extracted from peppermint essential oil.
