17th April at 2.15pm: Quick update to say all orders placed on the 9th have been collected just now by DHL. Orders placed on the 10th and 11th will all leave by the 19th. I will type again on Friday regarding orders placed from the 12th onwards. Other news, by Friday I am releasing a few more very big ticket rarities including our Italian Oakwood Absolute and a super grail rose otto. Thank you, Adam : )
15th April at 5.30pm: Today I am running behind but I am happy to say that along with all E.U countries, we now can supply to the USA again. USA switched on just now and the Mysore Sandalwood 4 year aged E.O offer is extended for a week for USA clients to enjoy too. By Wednesday 17th all orders from the 9th April will be dispatched with DHL. Although we are rather full-on with orders at the moment, the lead time will improve significantly very shortly. Reason being since reopening the focus has been solely on building stocks up and we have staff coming on as well now (at last!). I will write again on Wednesday regarding lead times. This week my tasks are to get on top of the SDS we are owed by the company we have employed to handle this. And other than this I am adamant I will update the bulk wholesale list with more aromatics. Finally for now - the following 11 aromatics have recently been added to the site - French Rose Geranium E.O, Sandalwood Mysore E.O 4 Year Aged, Tuscan Olive Leaf Absolute, Mitti Attar (Petrichor), Persian Queen of Roses (Otto), Tomato Leaf Absolute, Oud Assami Skank E.O V.1, South Indian 10 Year Aged Vetiver E.O, Bengali Nagarmotha E.O, VIolet Leaf Concrete, Italian Helichrysum Absolute S.G. Thank you, Adam : )

Adam Michael has this to say “This Russian clary sage absolute is less sweet and more mild compared to the French offering, displaying earthy herbaceous notes of outstanding tenacity with fresh cardamom spice, tobacco, and a wide array of yummy tea notes. This material is useful for building woody notes, adding distinct herbal freshness to green accords, enhancing the aromatic character of lavender bases and floral blends. This material is brownish-olive green in colour, of a waxy sold mass that will benefit from warmth prior to use and is produced by solvent extracting the leaves and flowering tops of Russian grown Salvia sclarea.”
Joseph Colbourne has this to say “A truly invaluable material to perfumers, clary sage absolute is thick, waxy, and sepia brown in color, and requires alcohol as a solvent. It opens with sharp, richly herbaceous facets. A notably strong impression of black tea leaves is shadowed with subtle hits of sweet basil. The dry down displays aromatic tobacco, angelica root, and a nutty, velour-like musk. A superb fixative, this absolute has great longevity, lasting over twenty-four hours on the mouillette. It can be paired fantastically with bergamot and other citrus, aiding in their salience. Furthermore, it is a staple ingredient for tea and tobacco accords, also adding character to mossy fougeres.”
Botanical Name: Salvia sclarea

Herbaceous product, I am still experimenting with it and figuring out what’s the best way to blend it with. I think that it’s not a dominating ingredient in a perfume and it’ll probably enhance a woody or floral blend.

This Clary Sage is really growing on me, I use the EO material more in aromatherapy – but this particular abs it’s giving me a similar emotional response as Hermitage’s Yarrow CO2 as in a whole garden in one. Heather flowers, phlox, honey, beeswax, herbs, thyme, tea, straw, lichen, moss, green florals, sweet pea, sweet musky, almond, fresh peaty earth, geranium, balsamic, cistus rose, butter. It warms nicely on my skin, I can’t wait to experiment more with this although it’s got it own personality all by it’s self……

A smooth and intense sweet musky herbal, resonating with waxy apples and roses, and fruity black tea – yes, as Adam says it is Earl Grey !
Earl Grey tea and sweet dense hay, tonka bean, drier hay, straw and touches of spearmint and lavender.
The dry-down is very smooth, earthier and softer – a calming companion of sweet fruity hay and soft leather and still the lingering of Earl Grey tea.
