Flouve Essential Oil

Adam Michael has this to say “Flouve essential oil is produced by steam distilling the dried aerial parts and is completely different in aroma to the absolute which we also offer. The aroma of the essential oil is dry, buttery sweet, vegetative, with a raw earthy vetivert and cola nuance. The colour is caramel brown and of a pourable viscosity.”

Arctander has this to say “It is used in perfumery in fougeres, chypres, new moan hay bases, Oriental bases, ambres, etc. – although always at very low concentration. It often accompanies chamomile, tansy, artemisia oils, galbanum and other essential oils in trace amounts to produce “special effects”, topnotes, etc.”
