Frankincense Dalzielii Resin

Adam Michael has this to say “I wanted to explore resins more closely ultimately due to my love for frankincense. This has given me an opportunity to look closer at materials that I would likely not have otherwise got to know if I was considering essential oils only. Frankincense dalzielii is one such material and I think its mind blowing. The aroma smelling neat is sweet balsamic with wonderful heightened candy lemon nuances. On the oil burner** this resin is an aromatic beauty exuding orange peel and candied lemon character with soft mint and gentle breezy eucalyptus undertones, all wrapped in a warm balsamic body with hints of spice. So many notes, outstanding longevity on the oil burner, an absolute must for tincturing, and of course used with for religious ceremonies and incense. Highly recommended material.”

Botanical Name: Boswellia dalzielii

Origin: Burkina Faso

** At Hermitage Oils should you wish to burn the material neat we would recommend burning the material on an oil burner opposed to using charcoal disks. If you follow this recommendation we also advise placing a piece of foil in the well of your oil burner and then laying the resin on top. This prevents lots of mess and cleaning after use and by using an oil burner you get to enjoy much more of the aroma of the resin than when using charcoal disks.
