Geranium Absolute

Adam Michael has this to say “The top note is full of fresh geranium-rose character, with a tropical fruity body and distinct juicy lychee  sweetness. This is followed by vibrant green leafy violet notes entwined with delicate mint and watery cucumber nuances. Egyptian geranium absolute is produced by solvent extracting the aerial plant parts, dark olive green in colour and of a pourable viscosity. One of my all-time favourite materials. Works especially well at imparting extra freshness and increased depth when used with carnation, tuberose, aldehydes and for bringing together rose accords. A must for chypre, floral, fougere and even hesperidic accords.”

Arctander has this to say “Geranium Absolute is used in perfumery, particularly in high-class rose bases, chypres, fantasy perfumes, etc.”
