Lavender CO2 ORGANIC (SELECT)

Adam Michael has this to say “If you put this Lavender CO2 on a strip, blindfold a family member, and asked – what is this smell, I suspect the majority would have absolutely no idea based solely upon the opening notes. The obvious notes do not jump out at you in the opening as you may expect.

A very complex material, the top is light, bright, green breezy with lavender herbaceous qualities and to my nose, traces of something resembling crushing spearmint leaves in your hand, a very green note.

Progression of the aroma is fascinating, the lavender notes start to really come through, comparable to LITERALLY rubbing a handful of lavender flowers in your hand on a summer’s afternoon, pure unadulterated lavender floral notes, all underpinned with delicate stalk and foliage qualities. On the strip this material has lasted 3 hours and it is all floral lavender flowers in the dry-down and now starts to remind me a little of the lavender soap bars so fondly used by my wonderful nana. To sum up, I love this Lavender CO2, which is produced from the fresh flowers, and would rate it a 9.6 out of 10.

This makes for wonderful study material (available as a sample and also as part of our – Lavender from around the world – sample set), pairs so well with roses, rosemary, clary sage, bergamot and countless other materials. A must for imparting cool, fresh breezy waves of lavender flowers into the top to middle of lavender and floral orientated perfumes, is of course essential within fougeres and a must for building herbaceous notes.”
