25th March at 13.10pm: Apologies but my health has gone backwards rapidly in the past few days. After a conversation with Eleonora, at this moment running Hermitage is too much for us. Therefore the countries have all been temporarily removed and no orders can be placed. Please note orders received upto the time of this message will all be dispatched by today. Earlier messages now deleted from the orange banner but note I hope by mid to late next week I can get involved again with the business and reopen the website to E.U countries. New product releases, I have written content for five new aromatics and the plan was, and still is, to get to ten, and release them all in one lot. This will happen across early April. At the sametime the lab is finished, we have set up and we will get staff employed. Written as my own objective this year for the business remains the same, that being to end the stop start and get Hermitage in a position whereby it continues to flourish with or without my daily involvement. Thank you, Adam : | PS - We will reply to emails we may receive upon our return.

Adam Michael has this to say “This methyl cinnamate natural isolate is obtained from Eucalyptus olida, aka Strawberry Gum essential oil, and of which contains a staggering 90% plus methyl cinnamate.
In pure form this powder is reminiscent of eating ripe red cherries bursting in your mouth on a warm summer’s day and finishing with light sparkly strawberry nuances.
This material is provided by us as a 33% dilution in alcohol and as such, aromatically, it is far more strawberry fruit and sweet jam themed throughout with a slight spiciness. Many will find its aroma quite delicate, but please do not underestimate its impact when building your own perfume creations as on the skin the aroma is very noticeable.
Methyl cinnamate natural isolate is very useful material for imparting warmth and enriching the top notes of strawberry accords. Great for those who require fruity jam notes and this material pairs well with poplar buds, roses, labdanum, amber sweetie and orris/iris materials.”
Extracted from Eucalyptus olida essential oil.

If you tend to stay away from isolates for whatever reason, I highly recommend that you make an exception for this one. Particularly if you love Roses. Beyond being quite lovely on its own, Methyl Cinnamate is incredibly fun and useful material when creating Rose accords, adding juiciness with just a hint of spice and making Roses and other flowers more mouth-watering. It also pairs well with fruity Ouds, Musks, and even Cacao! I’m honestly quite surprised that I’m the first person reviewing this, but I’m sure I wont be the last!

I am using methyl cinnamate as part of a strawberry fragrance. It seems to add a note of realness and freshness and “juiciness.” I would use a little caution: As noted in the product description, this material is stronger than it seems when added to a mixture; a light hand is suggested.
An interesting “effect” material…I can’t wait to smell the final product.
