Peppermint USA Essential Oil

Our American Peppermint is grown in the Yakima Valley, Oregon and produced by steam distillation of the died peppermint leaves.”

Arctander has this to say “Peppermint Oil is occassionally used in perfumes, e.g. in lavender colognes (lift and freshness), fougeres, geranium bases, etc. for its generally “lifting” effects at low concentration.”

Safety Data: Peppermint essential oil may sensitise the skin and should normally be used in dilutions of 1% or less. Maximum dose as a bath oil should be one drop although two drops might be used in a foot bath. May cause wakefulness and should not be used before going to bed. When peppermint is diluted in carrier oil it will awaken the senses and can be used to help ease muscular pains, relieve headaches and migraines and when used on a oil burner and inhaled it can help alleviate mild indigestion as well as combating catarrh and blocked sinuses.
