August 8th: As I type, we are currently rammed with orders to assemble and dispatch. For now, the lead-time estimates in the message below continue to stand. We are working every single day of August and as we will close across September, I need to offload my 2022 season Organic Lemon FCF E.O. We buy a very large weight of this every year and purchased just before we found out that Eleonora was pregnant. The material is properly stored, smells delicious and is now offered at reduced rates on the 250G weight (31.15 Euros before vat - supplied in lacquered aluminium canisters - absolute steal price) – available to everyone. Also, we are close to selling out of our Turkish Rose Signature Absolute now. We sell this for nearly 3 times less than what various so-called American rival operators are charging – for material sourced from the same producer as well. If you use our beautiful Turkish Rose Signature Absolute and need a bottle, enjoy our super low pricing whilst you can. We are also getting very low on Mysore Sandalwood E.O and Jasmine Absolute now. I will write again by Wednesday. Thank you, Adam : )
August 4th: As I type we are receiving a lot more orders than usual and we are very behind with assembling and dispatching orders. All Mainland Europe orders now have a 4-5 working day lead-time. All NON.EU orders now currently have a 7-14 working day lead-time as the courier agent we work with, is currently having days off (holiday time) across the first weeks of August, and hence adding to delays I am afraid. I apologise about any inconvenience caused. I will update again here by Monday evening (8th). Thank you, Adam : )
July 27th: Adam Michael here with an update. Ok, my partner Eleonora is pregnant with our first child. Written because across September Eleonora goes on maternity leave for 5 months and I intend to join her and use the opportunity to have a rest before the baby is born.
The exact date will be confirmed nearer the time but for now just to say if you need anything from Hermitage Oils to please plan ahead because when we close it really will be for 5 months and during that time we will be completely out of contact. Also so that everyone is aware, we will be working for the entire month of August and across August we will be releasing non-compliant oakmoss from a source I worked with for over 15 years. Yes I convinced them to carry out a production just for Hermitage Oils. On top of this I have hit the jackpot and sourced the most stunning Wild Harvested Cedarwood Absolute that money buys. It has an incredibly addictive profile, super sweet, woody, no pissy aspects like that of the e.o and the dry-down is first class all the way. Expect a thorough write-up when this is released. Also I unearthed more of our aged Opoponox e.o from Ethiopia in our storerooms so that is coming back as is Cedarmoss Absolute. As I type we have a lot of work to assemble so please note orders placed now will take until the early or middle of next week to be processed. Thank you, Adam : )

Adam Michael has this to say “I am very happy to say as of today (02/03/20), we are now sourcing an especially beautiful petitgrain bergamotier essential oil directly from the producer here in Italy.
Aromatically petitgrain bergamotier essential oil is a stunning beauty, very powerful, showcasing green neroli, classic bergamot citrus, with astringent and elegant soapy neroli floral nuances. The dry down has aspects of orange blossom floral water absolute.
The fragrant leaves of the bergamot tree (Citrus bergamia) are steam distilled to produce this petitgrain bergamotier, yellow green in colour, of a thin pourable viscosity, produced on a small scale, and almost exclusively in Italy. In this instance and with nearly all the citrus leaf oils produced that I am aware of, it contains the same volatile fractions found in the corresponding fruit peel but in different qualities and quantities. For example this leaf oil generally contains less than 1% limonene, and of which is found in the citrus peel oil generally at over 10%.
A top to heart note that is a cost effective way to extend and strengthen the life span of neroli nuances within a perfume composition. A must within floral and citrus accords, green woody themed compositions and a must for building neroli bases. Highly recommended material.”
Botanical Name: Citrus bergamia
Origin: Italy
Wholesale weights (all prices excluding vat): 100G = 75 Euros. 250G = 150 Euros. 1 Kilo = 490 Euros.

I am surprised it has no review yet. I love the floral nuances of this oil. I have not tested all petitgrains offered by Hermitageoils, but this one is so far and by far my most favourite one. Green, light floral, slightly sweet – simply a happy oil.

This is a beautiful, beautiful petit grain. Floral, light, persistent, diffusive. A gentle petit grain, no sour or off notes, a little perfume unto itself. Very hard to find floral petit grains that have no off notes. The lightness doesn’t mean it doesn’t having staying power, this is a subtler , gentler version but it stays on the blotter!

Perfect harmony of the slight bitterness of petitgrain with the crystalline freshness of bergamot. Wonderful material – could function as a Cologne in its own right.

This material is excellent. It reminds me of perfumes from the old days. For me it evokes a lot of memories.

I used to go to south of France for many years for summer holidays and this petitgrain bergamotier reminds me of small perfumery shops were they still sell french perfumery and soaps, not to mention about the memories of lemon and orange blossom in the gardens.
Its opening is terpenic citrus, very green and bitter – sweet goodness.
Then it continues with slightly woody floral undertones reminding me of neroli and citrus blossom.
On its dry down its a mix of clear, slightly sweet orange blossom and clean marseille soap notes.
This is another magic of nature in a bottle that will be my great companion for a lifetime in creating my perfumes and actually it is a perfume on its own 🙂 .
You simply can not miss the experience of trying it – and again Top material for such a low price !!! 🙂
Thank you Eleonora, Thank you Adam now and forever for your unique and so professional work 🙂

This is the most beautiful petitgrain ever! It smells very much like the whole bergamot tree and it has amazing strong neroli touch. You will not regret ordering a bigger amount 🙂

The phrase ‘This could be a perfume in itself’, is often used for aromatics, however, this couldn’t be more true for this surprising stunner. This is Italian cologne in a bottle, reminding me very much of Acqua Di Parma Colonia. Whilst petitgrains are more top notes, this veers more towards a heart note in my opinion. Insane longevity with one drop undiluted on the back of the wrist lasting around 6 hours, lifting your soul every time you catch a whiff. A synaesthetic colour palette of zappy yellow citrus, sweet orange flowers and soft green woods, enveloped in a warm breeze under azure skies. Beautiful.

Bergamotier petitgrain was an old dream of mine, and it came true thanks to the Hermitage!
Luxurious oil, with an incredible richness of shades – from delicate citrus fruits with floral and honey to colorful greens and earths, with spicy and tart nuances.
The oil is revealed every time in an amazing way. It can first show its citrusy and floral character, or it can envelop in the freshness of green foliage after rain.
The oil combines the most beautiful features of bergamot and petitgrain. One of the best ingredients for sophisticated men’s colognes and daring women’s perfumes.

Do yourself a favor and order this little treasure, such a well kept secret, it seems, and yet such a revelation. How can an aromatic so modest and seemingly familiar be of such multi-faceted elegance and complexity!

This is one of my favorite citrus smells…so cute and sassy! I tried pairing it with pink pepper (pink pepper is all the rage, I know) and the results were gorgeous. Add a bit of balanced sweet/savory spice and you’ve got yourself a beautiful top note.

Now, this… This is a wonderful citrus! It has a delicate, floral, feminine edge to it that makes it really good for use in the top notes of a “lady’s” fragrance. This might be my favorite Hermitage citrus, with the Moroccan Neroli E.O. being its closest competitor.

This is a lovely petitgrain. Smooth, full profile of green to floral notes. Agree with other reviews – no harshness or off notes.
