19th April at 5pm: Quick update to first say I have now added the following big ticket aromatics to the website: Italian Oakwood Absolute, Organic Georgian Rose Raduga Otto and finally Persian P.E.A Intense Rose (Otto). Orders, as I type with exception to 3 orders, every order placed up until the 11th has left with the couriers. By Monday 22nd, all orders placed up until the 14th will leave with couriers and I will type again across Monday with another update. Bulk Wholesale orders that still need to be manually typed and billed will be done so by Tuesday 23rd. Thank you, Adam : )
15th April at 5.30pm: Today I am running behind but I am happy to say that along with all E.U countries, we now can supply to the USA again. USA switched on just now and the Mysore Sandalwood 4 year aged E.O offer is extended for a week for USA clients to enjoy too. By Wednesday 17th all orders from the 9th April will be dispatched with DHL. Although we are rather full-on with orders at the moment, the lead time will improve significantly very shortly. Reason being since reopening the focus has been solely on building stocks up and we have staff coming on as well now (at last!). I will write again on Wednesday regarding lead times. This week my tasks are to get on top of the SDS we are owed by the company we have employed to handle this. And other than this I am adamant I will update the bulk wholesale list with more aromatics. Finally for now - the following 11 aromatics have recently been added to the site - French Rose Geranium E.O, Sandalwood Mysore E.O 4 Year Aged, Tuscan Olive Leaf Absolute, Mitti Attar (Petrichor), Persian Queen of Roses (Otto), Tomato Leaf Absolute, Oud Assami Skank E.O V.1, South Indian 10 Year Aged Vetiver E.O, Bengali Nagarmotha E.O, VIolet Leaf Concrete, Italian Helichrysum Absolute S.G. Thank you, Adam : )

Adam Michael has this to say “This vetiver absolute is utterly sensational material, produced from North Indian wild growing vetivert that in Hindi is known as khus khus or khas. More specifically this vetiver is from Uttar Pradesh and produced by solvent extracting the concrete. The colour is golden amber and of a very thick treacle consistency that would benefit from gentle warmth prior to use.”
Joseph Colbourne has this to say “A thick, viscous, solvent-extracted absolute of tan color from India, this vetiver absolute shows depth and earthiness transcending that of a typical vetiver essential oil. What is noteworthy is the sweet top note found in the EO is muted and in its place lies a cade-like smokiness and choya leatheriness. There is also a bit of citrus coolness that comforts the nose. As it develops on the tester strip, these characteristics mingle with bitter chocolate, decomposing wood, mossy mustiness, and amber darkness. As with most vetiver materials, the absolute is diffusive and has marked longevity, lasting days on the perfume strip. I would recommend the absolute in accords where the vetiver note takes center stage, in dry woods, burning leaves, amber bases, or non-traditional fougeres.”
We have now created our own vetiver collection page.

Dark, rich, powerful with sweet earthy, smokey traces & a hint of a leather note which lasts for days.

Different to the bourbon/java EOs. This one has excellent smokey undertones. Basically a perfume on its own.

This is another unique vetiver from the Hermitage.
I left this absolute for my meditation practices, as well as other oils that I prefer to just sniff from the bottle, in pure form.
The scent is very soft, and as for the leathery and smoky nuances that are mentioned in the description and in the reviews, they are barely perceptible to me. I rather feel here dry woody, creamy-balsamic notes with hints of raw cane sugar and roasted nuts.

Translated with google. I have several vetiver oils, but I couldn’t pass up this Hermitage absolute, and Wow !, if you love vetiver you can’t stop having this gem: compared to the precious vetiver oils, this absolute is pure vetiver but something completely new: with smoky and sweet notes of honey, without the harshness of véti oils, with a silky smoothness absent from vetiver oils. This is what the land of Paradise must smell like.

Vetiver is one of my favorites, I like to have several different varieies at the same time, and the Hermitage Absolute – my first Vetiver Absolute worth mentioning – is original in its higly polished balance between earthiness and delicious sweetness, gives me a luxurious feel of shaded jewellery boutiques on place Vendome, filled with velvet covered chairs and Persian carpets. A Beau-Monde Vetiver for luxury bases – to pair with Ouds, Labdanum, Sandalwoods and Osmanthus…
