Joseph Colbourne has this to say “The distinct aroma of daffodil tazetta is captured in this extrait from enfleurage. It opens with the herbaceous and mildly phenolic characteristics associated with this beautiful flower, with a green tea zest and pollen aspects revealed minutes in. This lingers for about fifteen minutes along with a subtle ‘horse stable’ note typical of daffodil tazetta. The longevity of this extrait is about an hour and as a top note can integrate itself with narcissus absolute and other complementary materials to create a fully realised narcissus accord.”
Eleonora Scalseggi has this to say “Narcissus tazetta (tazetta deriving from “small cup” in Italian) is a spectacular small flowered and highly fragrant daffodil naturalised in Central Italy, so it is possible to spot it growing spontaneously in meadows and fields. Its fragrance can be perceived many metres away from the flowers, and can become even overbearing if the flowers are picked and taken indoors. Quite different in its aroma profile than the N. poeticus, this narcissus has a white floral, slightly indolic, yet very elegant and sweet fragrance captured through a modern enfleurage cold process.”
Botanical Name: Narcissus tazetta
Origin: Italy

An absolutely beautiful and true likeness of the daffodil scent. While daffodils have their own scent, there are slight inflections of ylang ylang. My only wish is that there were more of it, but such is the nature of enfleurage.

This is very true to the real scent of the daffodil, it’s like the flower is right in front of you.
