Rose otto (the essential oil of rose flowers) is one of the oldest perfume materials and the rose note is one of the most desired and used in a wide range of perfumery. Unfortunately the labour intensive process (hand-picking) and low yields mean that natural rose products are extremely expensive. Perfumers often use synthetics and isolates and here we present a small selection of them for your consideration.
