Adam Michael has this to say ” Aromatically this hemp essential oil has a strong, bitter, herbaceous opening, that follows with a tart citrus redolence comparable to a pink grapefruit and may chang infusion. This is an interesting modifier of aldehydic chypres and fougeres. Also known as cannabis, native to Central Asia and belongs to the Cannabidaceae family, a very small family that contains one other genesus which is Humulus – the one hop (Humulus lupulus) plants belong to and which are largely used to flavour and preserve beer. This material is free from THC – aka Tetrahydrocannabinol or delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, according to tests carried out by the registered laboratory of the UK Home Office. This hemp essential oil is also free from Cannabidiol aka CBD.”
Produced by steam distillation of the leaves and the flowering heads, deep yellow in colour and of a pourable viscosity.
Botanical Name: Cannabis sativa
Origin: England

This smells the most similar to the real thing. I only got a sample, have not used it yet, the only similar EO I know is Tagetes .

That’s is just no calming this magnificent fragrance and I have no intention of doing so. The bold and heavy greeness is a base to my new blend. There is a primal olfactory reaction to this ingredient from people to whom I have introduced it. Loving this and would happily have it as a stand alone perfume.

Searing and intense opening; a penetrating herbaceous green note, reminiscent of musty lime leaves and geranium leaves under a herbal spearmint. A brief metallic top note; rusty iron or dried blood and lavender.
The herbaceous and rooty soft spearmint comes to the fore; catnip, ..hints of green tobacco and an earthy lime, soon softening into a smooth sage lingering.
Usual and interesting character. Bold yet ethereal, heavy and also light. I sense it will add depth to herbaceous notes, and no doubt give intriguing results with other materials still yet to try.
