Adam Michael has this to say “What we have here is beta-damascenone natural at 1% in PG. This natural offering is obtained from sugarcane.

This aroma profile is in keeping with what you would expect – blackcurrants, plums, even goji, but the rosey facets in this batch, at least to my nose are very muted, to non-existent and I feel this aromatics core is actually acacia honey orientated throughout.

As for uses, I recycle what I wrote about the synthetic many years ago …..classed as a top and heart note and an essential material for all perfumers. A brilliant material for imparting unique effects within florals, especially rose florals and tropical themed floral accords, a must for building juicy fruity notes with dark aura, pairs very well with cassis base, fantastic within wood and oriental accords and a must for mulled wine themes.”
