Laurel Leaf Essential Oil (Sweet Bay)

Adam Michael has this to say “Laurel leaf essential oil exudes a delightfully fresh, sweet medicinal, slightly spicy, chewy, eucalyptol aroma, no big difference to crushing the fresh leaves in your hand, albeit the aroma of the oil is stronger and longer lasting.

Also known as sweet bay and bay laurel, clear in colour, steam distilled from the leaves and of a pourable viscosity. Although there are similarities with the common name, laurel leaf and bay leaf essential oil (Pimento racemosa) have a very different natural chemistry and thus different uses. Most readily available Aromatherapy books suggest laurel leaf as a great appetite stimulant, good for treating colds and generally helping people breathe a little easier.”
