Adam Michael has this to say “Vetiver Heart essential oil is produced by fractionation which means in this instance that the essential oil (steam distilled from the roots/rhizomes) is rectified by running it through a fractionating column.
The fractions are collected, and it is largely the grassy and rooty fractions that are blended back together. This results in a material mostly free from the woody aspects. The woody notes that are still present are somewhat reminiscent of smelling pure Cambodian oud. The grassy and rooty aroma generally found more within the heart notes of vetiver materials is the dominant aroma of this material throughout its development.
Vetiver Heart essential oil is so incredible that it is a luxury perfume in its own right. Provides a fantastic fixative effect, provides rich body to Cambodian oud accords, pairs beautifully with both patchouli and sandalwood naturals, a must for heavier Oriental bases and amber notes and overall I highly recommend this material.”
We have now created our own vetiver collection page.

The aroma is very rich, with many nuances that replace each other in the process of evaporation. Soft, unlike ordinary varieties. It goes well with other aromas, especially woody and citrus. A valuable find for oriental bouquets.

Fantastic vetiver ! , not earthy , tenacios, clean , enhances chypre or oriental perfumes

I love vetiver and this one is my favorite! It is so fresh and a little sweet too.

This is my first experience with vetiver outside of a blended perfume and I can say without a doubt that is one of my favorite materials now.
On first draw, the scent hits me is as if Cupressus funebris(Chinese cedarwood(cypress) had a child with young Santalum austrocaledonicum(Sandalwood) , after some time it has a slightly sweet, nutty note comparable to madacamia nuts & a hidden cocoa nuance. Very tenacious, & a wonderful fixative, can fit in a variety of blends, chypre being the best bet, but that may not be the most subjective opinion considering my affinity for wood & musk.
