Adam Michael has this to say “Banana CO2 is mind blowing, the aroma is creamy, overripe banana and alcohol banana throughout, in fact it smells like banana milkshake with with a teaspoon of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey Whiskey Liquer…..delicious. If you want to build banana notes this is a must material, also useful for building green fruity notes, gourmand accords, and pairs beautifully with cocoa materials. Clear to yellowy-green in colour, pourable and produced from the fruit distillate.”
Botanical Name: Musa paradisiaca

Select/Total Extract: Total
Safety Data: This product contains ethanol and water and has a flash point of < 20c. This material will not dilute in carrier oil or in diluents such as IPM due to the water content. Therefore this material is solely of use to the perfumer. We advise in perfumery that this material is used at up to about 10% of the composition. If you work with pre-diluted materials at 10% in ethanol then this material should be used neat. For those who prefer to work with pure materials, banana CO2 should be added last because the mixture will go cloudy at that point – once the ethanol is added to dilute to EdT strength it will go clear again – but leaving it clouded for days on end risks bacterial growth starting so isn’t wise.
Always keep the cap securely fastened on the bottle when not in use. The bottle should have plenty of air space and we provide this material in larger bottles to allow sufficient air space. Store and handle in a well- ventilated place. Keep cool.

If you want a banana scent, well that’s the right essence, is like if somebody smashes a huge banana in your face!
Sweet creamy banana scent.

This is the first scent that attracted me to Hermitageoils; I was looking for a banana note that I could create a scent I had in mind and not a lot of places carry banana. This is a very well-rounded banana scent: it has both the flesh of the fruit and the peel within it, not a fresh green peel, but one slightly speckled by brown hosting a very sweet, creamy fruit.

This might be the crowning jewel of all fruit scents. Unbelievably true-to-life boozy ripe banana note, just oozing with character and flavor. I never thought I would find something like this that wasn’t an isolate recreation, yet here it is! What a joy. Aside from all of the obvious gourmand uses, it also does very interesting things to fresh bitter-green scents and gives a lush body to flower accords.
