Their citrus oils are so good that we have been incapable not to buy half their catalogue. Each oil captures a different facet of the same citrus fruit, some sweeter, some more sparkling and dry, some greener, some just too mouthwatering not to add to our collection! Bergamot in particular is a citrus oil so crucial to perfumery, that we felt expanding our offering was long overdue.
What we have here is a Furocoumarine-Reduced Bergamot Oil produced via Sfumatice and Torchio, and it is the perfect balance between sparkling champagne, floral, bitter green and juicy. A little sweeter and juicier than the classic FCR essential oil, which is a bit greener, Bergamot Sfuma-Torchio has wonderful lift and lightness in the top and an unmistakeable classy demeanour and development, that only true Italian bergamot has.

Brighter than the Bergamot E.O FCR Signature Gold, but oh, so similar. I recommend getting both, although this one seems slightly more “progressive,” given the brighter sparkle.

This top quality material is bright, well rounded and indeed a bit sweeter and more fruity than regular Bergamot EO, which softens the linalyl acetate aspect. Due to its more rounded character this material is more elegant and its power is great. This makes it more beautiful and more versatile in perfumery, especially in florals. The description is spot-on and this Bergamot is highly recommended.
