Adam Michael has this to say “Hop is probably most famous as a flavouring and stability agent in beer and is related to the hemp family. The hop plant contains the hops, stunning looking flower clusters, that are picked, dried and then CO2 extracted. The colour is golden brown and I would describe the smell as boozy, green, and somewhat herbal and vegetative. The consistency is of a pourable viscosity and produced from German hop cones.
This is said to be useful for helping people with nervous tension and blends well with other therapeutic super oils such as helichrysum italicum, angustifoilium and all variants of lavender.”
Botanical Name: Humulus lupulus

It starts off with a strong and highly natural hop-flower scent. A fruity, green and of course beer-like scent. Leaning towards the indie brewery rather than the big industry produced beer brand. There is herbal nots, but also a bit of an onion note, sulphurous, that can be a problem in an attractive perfume blend. later on in its fairyl long life cycle, it develops an almost balsamy note, with a hint of burned character. And, something reminding of aquarium fish food. This doesnt dominate at all, its rather for its forementioned fruity, herbal, beery (perhaps boozy) notes that it is used for. A complex and fun scent, that lasts for days on paper, powerful all the way.

The first impression of this scents brings back the memory of being inside of the pub where craft beer is served. It makes me think of the feeling when you take the first sip of a really nice beer and enjoy its pleasant, sour, mouth watering and juicy flavour. Hop CO2 will not necessarily be something heavily used in creation of fine perfumes, but it is something to recommend to any beer lover – as the scent beautifully recreates the experience of having a pint next to your mouth and nose.
