Oud Pailin Royal E.O (Western Cambodia)

Adam Michael has this to say “Although what we have here is indeed Cambodian oud e.o, geographically Pailin borders with Thailand and aromatically I think this is evident as the opening and heart of this Oud Pailin are very Thai structured with Cambodian nuances through the middle. It is from the dry down onwards that this is a full on Cambodian oud fest.

So the opening is extremely crowd pleasing, displaying powerful sticky resinous woody oud tonalities entwined with classic Thai DNA fruity components and finishing out with some gourmand bitter chocolate effects.

The heart is beautiful, full of Oriental warmth, fruits, flowers, sappy resinous woody qualities, ambers, powdery musk esq incense touches, velvety sensations, and big bubbles of warm Thai gourmand infused qualities. The gear changes of this aroma profile are flawless, and the dry down is reminiscent of how plantation Cambodian ouds open in mellowed form – resinous woody, faintly creosole, horse hair, liquorice candy, moss forest floor, with a clean mimosa catechu finish.

Over a week on the skin, 8 hours of optimal wear on my skin type, Oud Pailin plantation material was produced in January 2022, gloopy but pourable, fire orange brown in colour. Highly recommended.”
