The colour is golden honey yellow, of a pourable viscosity and the aroma profile from start to finish exudes a tropical fruit profile with banana, guava, honeydew melon through to cookies and cream, bubble-gum and floral tonalities. Papuan ouds, the few I have encountered, all have this clean woody green themed oud vibe in play, this is the same with the exception that the green character is replaced with yellow style fruity character. One interesting fact to note, this was produced in 2018 by an apprentice of THE artisan oud master based in Malaysia and this oud style has all of the hallmarks of that globally respected Malay based rock-star oud artisan.

However, I must stress this doesn’t come to the table with a lot of longevity, this is the olfactory equivalent of a meteor shower. Like a natural firework display of space rocks hurtling into the earth’s atmosphere, this Papuan beauty commands the full attention of the beholder as it shines and dazzles brightly before rapidly disappearing into the air. As such, and in order to continually enjoy this otherworldly experience at your choosing for years to come, I would personally recommend to enjoy the show from the bottle, and afterwards put the cap on, so that you can relive this experience at your fancy.
