Thyme Sweet E.O (CT Linalol)

This material is Thyme Sweet Essential Oil, Linalol chemotype. We now also offer Borneol chemotype as well.

Mark Evans has this to say “There’s a whole spectrum of different Thyme essential oils out there, the genus Thymus has about 40 species, after all. Their aromatic properties run from very dry, herbal and terpine-like through savoury, rosemary, menthol and all the way over to fruity berries.

This Thymus Sweet essential oil (Sweet Thyme) hits a useful sweet spot somewhere in the middle. It’s not too dry and herbal, not too fruity, not overly menthol-like. It’s just right. In my opinion, this obviously makes it the most versatile of the thyme oils. It’s an herbal aromatic that doesn’t smell overly herbal or foody. It’s bright, fresh and cooling without too much menthol. The top notes have just the right amount of fruitiness without being too sweet.

So if you’re needing an all-round, excellently performing herbal note for your perfumery but are worried about your creation smelling like sausages or eucalyptus, then I’d highly recommend trying this Sweet Thyme out of the many available.”
