Rooibos Resinoid (Red Tea)

Adam Michael has this to say “Rooibos Resinoid (Red Tea) from P.B in France. This shrub is also known by locals as red bush and I’m told this is because when the green leaves are cut and left to sun-dry, the colour of the material develops into a spectacular mahogany red wood colour.

The opening of this resinoid in dilution exudes warm yummy honey with herbal tea nuances and is underpinned with a gourmand chocolate profile. The sweetness here shares similarities to both osmanthus absolute and the apricot liquid we offer for sale. There is also a hay/flouve component in play throughout, think rolled hay stacks in the late summer that have been subjected to intense heat throughout the day in the countryside. That intensity and warmth is a backbone within this profile (minus the coumarinic aspects) combined with trace type refined tobacco nuances. If that wasn’t enough there is also mulled wine character in play that tip toes in a fruity slightly boozy davana territory.

This Rooibos Resinoid is a joy to inhale deeply, best appreciated in dilution and will be of great value to the perfumer.

The retail volumes starting from 1ml to 10ml are sold diluted at 50% in DPG. The wholesale weights starting from 50G up to 250G are sold in pure form only.

Useful for building and developing tea notes, boozy notes, gourmand accords, blends wonderfully with our honey Provence Firabs and pairs like a marriage made in heaven with orange blossom, bergamot, vanilla bourbon and Venezuelan Tonka absolute.”
