Adam Michael has this to say “Frankincense serrata is used in Ayurvedic medicine today and due to the biblical references in both the Old & New Testament, it is perceived as a deeply spiritual oil, one that enables people to reawaken and be closer to God apparently. The aroma is warm, rich, frankincense resinous with lots of refreshing citrus character and fleeting anise nuances throughout. Serrata CO2 contains alpha pinene at approximately 3% (30% in carterii CO2) and contains approximately 57% of alpha thujene (0.4% in carterii CO2).”
Botanical Name: Boswellia serrata

Sarah J (verified owner) –
Again another amazing Frankincense from Hermitage. This is a really delightful juicy substance, it’s making my salivary glands go into overdrive – like you get from the citruses. This one feels more sensuous/mysterious/deep than the carterii’s, I detect a hint of sea salt, hint of musky buttery skin, a little artemis and delicate star anise, a hint of wood smoke, on a wafty warm desert breeze. It’s fascinating beyond belief!
