Skip to contentAdam Michael has this to say “The aroma of juniper berry CO2 organic is absolutely light years superior in every way to the essential oils. This CO2 is tropical fruity, incredibly juicy, balsamic sweet and so quench thirsty refreshing. Also the terpenic odours associated with the essential oil are not present.
This material is a must for building tropical accords, modifying citrus bases, imparting unique freshness into boozy accords and a must have material for modern colognes. Blends beautifully with cypress, pines especially black pine, lavender species and boozy extracts such as rum, brandy and whisky. This CO2 is a select extract, yellow in colour, of a pourable viscosity and the major constituents are alpha pinene, sabinene, germacrene D and beta mycene.”

Love, love, love! this – even more than the absolute (which is also great, but a bit different). Exactly like the real thing. The smell is so accurate it literally evokes the image of much younger self dining on berries, just absorbing this mysterious irresistible aroma.

A much more useful material than the essential oil, since it is closer to the actual berry scent, and far more complex. It has less piney overtones than essential oils, but will blend very well with other foresty materials. Its mild spicyness will definately add character to a blend. Somewhat thin to start with, and grows woodier over time. It ends with a ripe wood-fruit tone.

This Juniper CO2 literally makes my mouth water – it would make the best the gin and tonic in the world ever! It’s so fresh, juicy berry, spicy, fresh resiny wood, green needle, complex herbaceous – from fresh green Mediterranean Pine, cut grass, to gentle warming marjoram to Artemisia – tip the light fantastic expanding consciousness. It is a really beautiful pick me up, and I feel so grounded yet feel like flying the thermals way up high over a white sage desert and joyous and thirsting for life. It leaves me with a sense of delightful hope in to trust that mother nature is holding us in her patient nurturing arms and better times will arise!

Simply by far THE BEST juniper you will ever find, almost ethereal

This is a surprise! It is “identical” to the scent of crushed juniper berries, maybe a little bit sweeter but very strong, after 15 minutes it becomes more woody and resinous and on a strip it is quite tenacious in comparison to the essential oil.
