8th February Update at 1.40pm: The website has now been tweaked with the message below. Until early May we now supply to European Union countries only. By early May we will be better organised and able to handle a much larger workload per day. Once in place, USA, Hong Kong and United Arab Emirates will be switched back on. I have also updated the FAQ and mention this within that page. On the new product front, within the next 3 weeks, I am releasing Tuscan Green Olive Absolute Signature Gold, this project has been two years in the making, the end result is the most incredible olive absolute you will ever experience - it is light years superior to the Egyptian offering we and others carry. I am also going to release Italian Oakwood absolute, another custom production for Hermitage, plus I'll introduce Violet Leaf Concrete, and at least one of my 5 new Persian Rose Ottos for sale. If time allows I am going to release a wonderful Mitti Attar and two new Nagarmotha offerings as I want to put together a collection for Nagarmotha to showcase the vast differences in profile you can obtain. And finally I am definitely going to ramp up the wholesale list even further by introducing many more of our existing aromatics this month with wholesale options. Thank you and I will write again now here across early next week. Adam : )

Adam Michael has this to say “The aroma of frankincense serrata essential oil is rich resinous, pine cone, dry woody, dry pine, with a lemony finish. This aroma sums up the aromatic environment of smelling a pine tree (maybe P. nigra) in the Summer, the sunshine warming the tree, and in turn the tree gives off that robust resinous aroma that saturates the air. Works very well generally within Mediterranean themed pine bases, pairs especially well with Aleppo pine, adds extra belly to amber creations and fits well within citrus and forest accords.”
Botanical Name: Boswellia serrata
Origin: India

Wow, I am surprised yet not surprised about this oil; surprised because of the quality and resemblance to the resin and also tinctured resin, because on another company I bought from it smelled different. Not surprised though because of consistent good quality from hermitage 🙂 This one is very much in tune with the resin and a perfect distillation of the scent to me, it is not very expensive but it packs a punch. I think it’s difficult to combine and very strong, but on its own it does shine. Not to forget the aromatherapeutic qualities… again wow! I suffer from a lot of pain because of tension and burn out and this worked like a painkiller to me. I heard that frankincense when taken properly battles cancer cells through apoptosis and just those cells. Taken properly meaning as a tea and important! at food grade, like the one sold by hermitage which can also be used as gum. I also heard something about pain-relief with serrata in aromatherapy, so I bought it. I rubbed just less than a drop inside my nose and within ten minutes my pain was gone. I felt immense relief. I don’t recommend anyone experimenting aside from oil heaters; still, with knowledge of psychiatry and medication I was curious about its properties not as inhaled, but in aforementioned way applied. For me it worked and works wonders, also on the aromatherapy lamp. It’s a lovely attar (one drop), can probably be combined well with pines and citruses (still want to try), and works wonders therapeutically. I am very pleased!
