Adam Michael has this to say ” Our organic geranium essential oil is a staple material within aromatherapy due in part to a plethora of uses, highly antiseptic, fungicidal, cleansing, pain-relieving, reduces inflammation and promotes the forming of scar tissue thus helping wounds to heal etc. Geranium is commonly used in massage to treat acne, bruises, burns, cuts, dermatitis, eczema and ulcers etc and is well received generally amongst all ages because of the pleasant aroma.
The aroma of this organic geranium essential oil is very straightforward, lots of bright, soft, rosy floral geranium character with spiced rose watery nuances and a faint green-minty tingle. Produced by steam distilling the leaves, yellowish in colour and of a pourable viscosity. A diffusive material that provides freshness and body to floral and citrus creations, good for building cost effective rose accords, green accords and for me this pairs very well with all the aromatherapist favourites such as rose, basil, clary sage, bergamot, lavender, cedarwood and so on.”

This is a partial review as I love almost everything Geranium, but I find this oil to be a very true representation of the Geranium I grow at home. It has a “thick” leafy, green quality that is very useful for fougere-type fragrances, it also helps tame other loud oils like Bay Leaf EO and Violet Leaf Absolute. Egyptian Geranium blends well with citrus and Vetiver as well as giving Hay the sort of “is that Rose?” undertone that makes it more interesting in a perfume.

Over the years I have experienced many wonderful geraniums. This is no exception,
It has a potent, enveloping presence in it’s aromatics and intensity. Excellent price point for the quality
