If you compare this CO2 extract with the essential oil that we also have available, you may think there’s no difference initially. However, wait for half an hour or so and where the EO has settled into a pleasant verbena-like scent, this lemon myrtle CO2 organic is still a powerhouse of lemon sherbet due to the higher proportion of citral it contains.
Obviously useful in citrus notes, colognes, herbal accords and so on to provide more longevity to the lemon note than the EO can provide.”

Even distilled lemon myrtle oil is a delight and truly sunshine in a bottle, but the CO₂ extract reveals lemon myrtle at its very best, most natural side. The distillation process inevitably alters some of the aromatic compounds in the plant, which makes the oils smell a little harsh and aggressive. By contrast, the CO₂ extract, in my experience, has an overall softer fragrance profile that comes across as more nuanced. It is pure joy to smell this extract! (The only odd thing is that in the shop you can order just one bottle—the quantity button is missing.)
