Persian Queen of Roses (Otto)

Adam Michael has this to say “What we have here is another top class, classic performing beautiful Persian rose otto. This is a first distillation, putting out plumes of super fresh dewy intense rose effects – honeyed, juicy lychee fruity, trace yellow peach tea, candied orange blossoms, steroid powered garden fresh rosy, candied rosy, powdered rosy.

My brain registers the rose tonalities here as a cross between both pink (mostly) and red flowers (lesser) – so you have those sultry, dark, erotic, voluptuous velvet sensations one experiences with the red flower here, and at the same time, the soft sensual playful calming character of the innocent pink flowers is here too. Vivid imagination going one step further, if such a thing as a rose scented rain shower existed, this is how I interpret the experience to be, stood outside looking up into the heavens as the patter of those heavenly scented rose rain droplets splash against my skin. This is truly another gorgeous rose otto from Iran – the world’s no1 producer in my opinion, followed by Saudi Arabia.

Side note: You will find this rose otto crystallizes under temperatures of about 20°C. Rest assured there is nothing wrong and it is quite beautiful visually. All you need to do is give your bottle a shake (with cap on) and it will become pourable again. Like most rose essential oils, also this Persian Queen of Roses (Otto) naturally contains stearoptene, thus when diluted in alcohol filtration will be needed in order to discard the alcohol-insoluble petal waxes. Conversely, solubility in fixed oils is perfect for this essential oil, making it a choice material for high-end attars.”
