Wild Manipur Oud E.O

I write this as its somewhat telling within the profile. The bright sweet fruity floral hues in the opening really pop and are powered with the most gorgeous resinous incense esq backbone you could wish for – that builds with intensity as we progress – and all reminiscent to me of the batches of clean Myanmar ouds I have now traded across the years.

To build on the opening sweetness it is truly captivating with a honeyed body mixed with fruity components of mango, papaya, peach and I think even touches of pineapple in ppm form. There is also both a boozy and medicinal element in play here that leans in a davana e.o direction. And this sweet note is finished with a camphorous cooling quality.

As we start to move forward across the first few hours the resinous and dark clean woody notes become ever more prominent and as usual I cant help but associate this Incense with Turkish black storax chips as its so warm and powdery with propolis and vanillic tonalities playing harmoniously together. At this stage as with Myanmar I pick out the scent of blue lotus flowers on an almost one for one comparison and showcasing that Crayola nuance you find when smelling the fresh flowers in pots of soil and water.

As the hours continue to pass the incense profile continues to dominate supported with warm dark polished wood notes reminiscent of clean warming Assami ouds we have had in our possession, plus tobacco, hay, leather and underpinned with a melody of luxurious floral and fruity sweet aspects.

This is a real showpiece oud, top tier, clean throughout with zero anything faecal and as unisex an oud as it gets with over 6 hours of longevity on my skin type from a less than generous swipe. Projection, this will create a gentle cloud of scent when applied on the wrist I am finding as I type on July 16th 2026. Colour Amber Orange-red subject to weight/volume and of a pourable consistency.”
