23rd May 2024: Cedrat essential oil – 2024 season – now in stock : )
Adam Michael has this to say “Cedrat essential oil is produced from the fruit (peel) that is chiefly grown and sold within Sicily. In its fruit form and having travelled Italy extensively now, I find this fruit is found readily as candy fruit or candy cedrat which is used as an ingredient for making cakes and deserts. Nice to look at and it tastes delicious however I still prefer squeezing the juice and adding it to freshly squeezed orange juice, the result is a delicious thirst quenching drink. The aroma of this essential oil is as you would imagine it to be, very zesty, incredibly fresh and light, similar to lemons and limes with lots of sweetness but softer and rounded.
This cedrat essential oil is fantastic for the aroma diffusers, filling the air with an aroma that everyone is sure to appreciate, especially children. For perfumery use this material is an exquisite top note, pairing splendidly with bergamot and lime, imparts freshness within florals, offers interesting effects used within boozy accords and for me I would consider this an essential material like bergamot for communicating a romance and love that I feel for Italy in the form of perfume. I write it quite a lot but this truly is a beautiful material and well worth trying.”

Reminiscent of lemon cheesecake. Smells like sweet lemons yet is as cool smelling as bergamot essential oil.

Gorgeous. Perfect if you’re trying to create an authentic Sicilian citrus scent that doesn’t delve into floor cleaner territory. Highly recommend.

Actually this reminds me of a lemony Japanese yuzu..its a blend of citrus with a lot of layers to play with..one of my favorite!

Like Luis commented before, this is a sweet version of cedrat, almost creamy. I used it at 30% in a calssical Cologne composition and it gives a beautiful calming yet radiant vibe to the scent. I do recommend this oil.

Perhaps one of the best kept little secrets on Hermitage’s site, and yet every customer who shops from here should include a bottle in their order.
A sweet citrus that is so much more than that. Almost a perfume in itself, it combines citrus and zest with floral and fruity in such a delectable way that I have been known to solubilize a couple of drops in honey and add to lemonade, transforming it into a cocktail for the Gods.

For me this beauty smells like lemon drops. I feel so calmed and relaxed while smelling it.

Complex like yuzu, but deliciously sweet! I bought this on a whim since I was unfamiliar with this citrus and it is now a personal favorite!

This is like lemon sorbet – a crispy cool lemon scent, refreshing and uplifting.

Lemon, citrus smell which reminds me of a lemon mamba gum. A beautiful three-dimensional smell. Almost a perfume in itself, We Love it! Artur & Aurelya

Remember when you first opened yuzu up? That crazy , why mess w any other citrus feeling. Well here it is again: this embodies citrus: effervescent sparkle, deep citrus tang, high sweetness. This is a full profile, it does say lemon, but I have never eaten this lemon,a softness, w persistence, dry, light airy, just a great addition! My lemon eos are great, this is saying something beyond lemon, almost a fantasy note.

Beautiful stuff, kind of floral, zingy but not sour at all, blends seemlessly with other things and has a rounding uplifting effect without being so obviously citrus so I use this when I want the citrus effect without the citrus!

This is a sunshine-sweet and unique citrus. It reminds me a bit of sweet lemon-lime popsicles! It’s a really nice balance between tart and sugary. I prefer it over lemon essential oil for use in perfumery!

Very clean and bright, has a perfect “transparancy” to it. When you compare it to other citruses, it rally feels clean but at the same time full of character. I love Cedrat EO in combination with Pink Pepper EO. It really creates a fizzy, effervescent, fresh and lively opening in a perfume!

Open the bottle and you’d swear someone just zested the freshest, most vibrant juicy, sweet lemon right next to you! There’s a fresh greenness to the smell, and a slight orange note as well…a beautiful citrus melange!
