Adam Michael has this to say “Evaluated neat on my skin the aroma opens with gorgeous warm indulgent musky rose character and is underpinned with delicious dewy sweet pear, honeyed apple and trace watery lychee tonalities.
This is pretty much the scent profile, super concentrated fresh roses of exquisite clarity, musky rose powdered tonalities with a plethora of ever changing honeyed nuances sitting in the background. As with the many offerings I have sourced across the past years, this otto is just like smelling living damascena flowers across an early summer’s afternoon and is yet another completely gorgeous masterclass aromatic. Colour is golden yellow to translucent spring green subject to weight/volume (see photo) and longevity on my skin type stands at just under 5 hours from a generous swipe.
Uses, a must for building and improving rose accords, pairs great with sandalwoods, jasmines, neroli, frankincense sacra, in fact, regardless if we discuss woods, florals, fruits, spices, resins and countless other groups and sub-groups of scent, this royal otto can be everyone’s friend when dosed accordingly.”

Indulgent indeed – transportive and spectacular:
I close my eyes and I can feel the crisp and curly edges of the blushing petals of the striking flowers in full bloom – kissed by gentle sun of early summer, exuding fragrant ribbons of airborne ambrosia, attracting bees and butterflies from afar.
By the virtues of this Rose’s truly artistic Vivacity and sumptious volume, I imagine – an ancient Roman patrician burying her nose in this gorgeous Rose – effectively isolating her sensitive and pampered self in this portable cloud of the Fragrant Luxury – on her walk through the stench of the old city (as was the custom). Immersed in the charms of this (deservedly called) royal scent, I myself am transported by this delightful essence into a sunny and blooming daydreaming, making me to forget for some moments about the frost and snow outside… Glorious.
