Rose Cymosa Tratt Absolute

Adam Michael has this to say “This rose absolute is one of the sexiest intense floral absolute experiences I have ever encountered. This one opens in a rich rose-orris crossed fashion, an intense red rose sensation drenched in a floral powdery buttery lushness that shows you how rose can be so much more than the commonly available absolutes in the market place today.

There is this utterly gorgeous spiced rose jelly component here that seem to include notes of carnation (think of a really epic carnation enfleurage), PPM traces of cinnamon toast, and as such, qualities that are reminiscent to me at least of rose bourbon. I think a good classification for this scent is that of gourmand-rose as there is a definite rose-chocolate quality going on here that grows within the backbone as the aromatic develops, and of which infuses and improves all other aspects connected to this scent spectrum as it opens up properly. Keeping with the foody vibes I also pick up warm trace type vanillic play-doh tonalities and also red wine notes.

Allowing my mind to run wild I’d sum this scent profile up like this – rose and leaf made a baby with rose bourbon, they moved to an exotic country together, lived happily forever, they lived their best lives, and the union was 100X more beautiful on all fronts than if they had stayed single. This is without question an aromatic for the true rose connoisseur/ fanatics. And this is also a rose that further demonstrates why Hermitage Oils has the greatest assortment of rose aromatics ever assembled online.

Although this is unisex for sure, it’s got a masculine edge and whilst I know the conversation of layering roses with ouds is old hat, I have to say this rose oud combo is the one that provides you with a true glimpse of a floral scented heaven. Pairs together like a dream with clean wild ouds and even ouds of a skanky DNA.

Rich intense red in colour, of a pourable viscosity, related to the dog rose, so sharing similarities to my Wild Briar Absolute from the best part of a decade ago now and generally pairs wonderfully with floral, woody, spice and even fruity natural aromatics. For me this one is a 10 out of 10.”
