Japanese Hibawood Essential Oil

Adam Michael this to say “The aroma of hibawood oil has a young Virginian cedarwood aura about it, dry sweet, very dusty, pencil shaving nuances throughout and for me alone I detect a gloopy fleeting chocolate character comparable to what I find when smelling Amyris balsamifera.

A splendid material for improving woody accords, pairs beautifully with oakwood, really enhancing the aged oak barrel qualities, offers interesting effects when used with cocoa, patchouli, amber materials, vetivert and I would add that I use hiba within my own sandalwood accord. Also very useful for smoky accords, as it slots in really well with m-cresol, cades, birch materials ect.”
