Skip to contentAdam Michael has this to say “This a classic smelling rose obtained by co2 extraction, more similar in smell to the absolute than the steam distilled essential oil. This is largely because of the prized phenylethyl alcohol which is hardly present in the steam distilled offering but present at just over 47% in this rose otto co2 material.
Rose otto co2 select extract is of a waxy consistency and will require warmth prior to use. A stunning fresh rose material that blends well with carnation, geranium, useful for improving soft floral notes, green notes, and a must have material for building rose accords.”

This elegant organic rose Otto co2 is just so, so beautiful!
… As I can’t really imagine a more beautiful word for its description than the one derived directly from, and describing beauty as beautifully as beautiful….
If you imagine each petal of a rose being a micro planet of beauty – this is what this rose Otto is. Petals of love – light, almost ethereal in a way, sweet, creamy and delicately radiant and vibrant.
Perfect in skincare formulations, it lends itself to be an invaluable and core ingredient in the most gorgeous and healing rose facial serum – which to my delight, everybody simply loves!
I put a little bit of this organic high quality rose Otto more than willingly into my concoctions whenever I have the chance.
Truly – grazie di cuore.
Please never discontinue it. I simply wouldn’t know what to do.

This is the sweetest rose essence I own. For me personally, for the purposes of perfumery, I consider it an important tool in the arsenal. It is distinguished by its juicy fruit notes – full-bodied, deep, and well-rounded. It features ripe notes of pear, peach, and banana, the smallest hint of lime peel, and a backdrop of cherries. At times, it can smell much like a particularly ripe mangosteen. I find it quite addictive, enticing to drink it all in. Beyond the fruitiness, there is a deeper, rosy sweetness to it, masterfully blending with it all. It is hard to decipher, as if wanting to keep its mystery. There is also a very smooth waxy note, adding a diffuse creamy touch that lends it subtlety and ease. Its overall character strikes me as mature, deep, feminine, and wholesome, but also radiating with happy playfulness. This essence has all the qualities to impart fruity body as the centerpiece of a floral bouquet – especially rose bouquets. It is basically the rose equivalent of using carnation or jasmine sambac in their respective strong situations. You can also use it to effectively bridge the space between florals and gourmand notes. Which goes to say that, while borderline cloying on its own, its full-bodied fruity sweetness is precisely its strong point. Used appropriately, it can work wonders in a blend. To best evaluate the material and make it workable, I recommend diluting it at 20% in ethanol, using a hot-water bath. It results in a fantastic aroma profile and the few minutes that it takes are well worth the trouble. Compared to smelling the solid from the bottle, this deemphasizes its waxy notes and fully brings out its fruity aspects. It is easily strong enough at this dilution, and you will find that a little goes a long way. On the strip, it remains easily perceivable after about 8 hours, becoming softer and creamier and gradually fading off. I highly recommend it.
