25th March at 13.10pm: Apologies but my health has gone backwards rapidly in the past few days. After a conversation with Eleonora, at this moment running Hermitage is too much for us. Therefore the countries have all been temporarily removed and no orders can be placed. Please note orders received upto the time of this message will all be dispatched by today. Earlier messages now deleted from the orange banner but note I hope by mid to late next week I can get involved again with the business and reopen the website to E.U countries. New product releases, I have written content for five new aromatics and the plan was, and still is, to get to ten, and release them all in one lot. This will happen across early April. At the sametime the lab is finished, we have set up and we will get staff employed. Written as my own objective this year for the business remains the same, that being to end the stop start and get Hermitage in a position whereby it continues to flourish with or without my daily involvement. Thank you, Adam : | PS - We will reply to emails we may receive upon our return.

Adam Michael has this to say “The opening notes of Mate Absolute are black tea and green tea rich with tobacco, hay and light spice notes. The heart through to dry down is again a mixed teas combo, somewhat dirty, raw, and unpolished, leathery, a tad trace birch smoky and guaiac wood dried meaty.
This Mate Absolute hails from a little producer in Paraguay and of which I strongly prefer to the Grasse produced material that is offered by all of our online competition. Outstanding value for money, lasts over 7 hours alone on the strip and is a very versatile material, works wonders in the creation of green tea accords, pairs well with heady florals, moss notes, smoky materials, spice oils, dances with chamomile, and is a truly wow material. Diluted in alcohol at 50%, olive green yellow in colour and produced by solvent extracting the dried leaves.”
Botanical Name: Ilex paraguariensis
Origin : Paraguay

Mate absolute is one of those materials that truly deserves a special place in everyone’s arsenal. I can only describe it as WOW and I can explain why it is so special to me. First the material opens with nutty nuances combined with woods and suave leather notes, some hay also. This holds on quite a lot, the tenacity and also the power of it are great, but after an hour or so, the magic starts unfolding, and here is when I was taked to a time in my childhood, when I was curious about what things I would find in my great grandfather’s old toolbox drawers. That’s exactly the scent I’m getting, old wood toolbox, not with metal notes, but rather with old paper and leather journals and sketches, old tobacco laying around between the paper sheets.

I drink Yerba Mate all the time, this material has such a wonderful smell and surpasses the smell of Mate itself!

This tea smells dark green and bitter, tobacco like. I got addicted to the smell. Don’t know how to use it in perfumery yet, but love the smell as is from the bottle.

There is a tang to this! Of course it floods your nose mind with a steam-like smoky herbal cloud of tea magic, but buried within is a kind of sour undertone that I just picked up in this very moment of reviewing.

Fresh and in the same time reminds me hayloft somehow. Beautiful and very unique.

Perfect for building tobacco accords. Pleasant and dark without being too bitter. Very Beautiful..

Mate absolute for me it’s a cup of tea seating on the hay in hot summer day. Soft, slightly green and warm. Pastel color palette.

A high quality tea absolute material ..very rich herbal tea ,and indeed there is mainly a “woody” green tea vibes but with dark tobacco aspects too..i detect a freshness behind that darkness and
masculine leather umbrella that is very obvious but with something very alive that this material is valuable for a lot of uses in a composition!!
