This artisan production is a true benchmark of excellence and along with our former Naga Red, is my all time favourite oud to date (19th June 2025).
Inhaling this aroma, on the strip, or evaluating on skin, the outcome is the same for me. The opening is resinous rich woody, lacquered woody, old antique woody, tropical fruity, with Mexican copal qualities, Coca Cola nuances and a vanillic creamy finish.
Hydro distilled in 2022, via semi copper pots with a straight line pipe condenser. Three day soak, all wood used being wild and all sourced from the Gua Musang forest.
As the profile develops the resinous woody components dominate the heart, and green jungle tonalities feature heavily. As we progress further, I find warm spiced touches, more in the theme of cinnamon powder and ginger cake. The base is again a full spectrum resinous wild woods affair.
The tropical fruit character puts out a Thai fruity vibe and I pick out sencha green tea and powdered vintage Mysore Sandalwood qualities in the heart through to base as well.
On my skin from a single swipe I get nearly 7 hours of wear. And subject to weight or volume the colour is amber through to black. My staff feel this is a unisex scent, I believe this is a full on, intense, masculine fuelled oud masterpiece. Pure love for me and highly recommended to true oud connoisseurs and everyone who wants something more than a poor mans corporate ouds experience!
