Persian Rose Otto Khenaman 2025

Adam Michael has this to say “The opening of this Persian rose otto (28/04/26) is heavy floral rose, both red and pink themed, with intense dark honey notes that ever so slightly tip toe into beeswax territory and finished with trace green stem, carnation spice and leaf qualities. It’s worth noting this rose follows a very similar if not almost identical path of development to fire furnace powered Taif rose otto. The reason being is I find a sweetened cereal porridge type nuance in such batches of Taif in the late opening to early heart each time I evaluate.

And that note is here albeit more from the late heart and through into dry down. Within the heart I find distinct pear juice sweetness, honey, rose syrup and yellow custard tonalities alongside a very consistent rose structure. Living damascena flower profile although with more intensity and heightened powdery qualities leads us into the dry-down and is complemented by sweet pears traces.

This is first distillation rose otto produced in Khenaman, 2025 season, Spring green in colour and lasting 4 and a half hours on my skin type and for approximately 18 hours on the strip in mostly optimal form. Of good diffusivity and body, lending itself especially well to fresh, floral and fruity accords, pairs like a long-happy marriage with jasmine, sandalwood, geranium, neroli and orange blossom aromatics. And is of course a must for anyone wanting to build their own luxury through to Taif rose bases.”

Side note: You will find this essential oil/otto, crystallises under temperatures of about 20°C. Rest assured there is nothing wrong with it and it is quite beautiful visually. All you need to do is give your bottle a shake (with cap on) and it will be liquid again very quickly.
