Petitgrain Absolute

Adam Michael has this to sayPetitgrain Absolute is produced from the leaves of the Bitter Orange tree by solvent extraction, yellow-green in colour and I class this absolute as a heart note.

The opening notes of petitgrain absolute are green, woody, leafy, bitter-floral, a little leathery, tangy, with a warm citrus orange tonality that is more pronounced the deeper you inhale. Generally, the opening of this aroma profile is bright, uplifting, suave, long lasting, potent (fills the room), with an incredibly elegant feel-good factor about it.

The heart notes to dry down showcase the same profile and lifespan on the strip in optimal form is about 24 to 30 hours.

Useful in green-floral compositions, citrus-colognes, wonderful for creating true to life through to fantasy forms of orange blossom bases, Tea themed compositions, blends very well generally with florals and woody notes and pairs especially well with mate absolute and green tea absolute.”
