Adam Michael has this to say “Calling all fellow vetiver-heads, this one is out of my private collection of which I have had in my possession since 2014. Limited quantity, cultivated vetiver, profile wise very similar to the South Indian offering we currently offer (very low stock levels) albeit this aroma profile is both cleaner, more refined and at the same time, packs a much heavier punch upon the senses.
Opening notes classic South style vetiver, rooty, leathery, baked clay, soil, dried out Earthy tonalities. However aging has done something rather special here, because whilst many cultivated offerings have a tendency to go into that sweaty direction when on the skin for long enough, this aged wonder instead heads off into a North Indian green hydro True Khus territory from the heart. So you find those vetiver fresh air sea storm qualities that come to the table with immense intensity, you get the big hits of distinctly green nuances one associates with Green North Indian Khus, you get the mind calming qualities as you inhale deeply and exhale slowly, you get the potato skins, the floral tonalities, those trace minty notes, and instead of the norm rooty DNA backbone of the South, you even get notes here that resemble soft fragrant woods. This is an aromatic that’s done exactly as hoped, it was a very good batch that has gone on to age wonderfully with a decade of time. A true joy to sit with as it unravels and reveals itself over the course of a few days on the strip. Absolutely one for the vetiver connoisseurs and anyone who also has a deep appreciation for aged aromatics.”
We have now created our own vetiver collection page.

Fine Vetiver with a surprising twist, not to say a paradoxical shift: in terms of the musical scale theory, if the classical Vetiver is rather played in Bass Clef, this one is shifted up to the Treble! All the way through its scent’s diffusion from top to bottom – instead of playing its earthy wealth in saturated ‘browns’, it plays it in vibrant, occasionally powdery ‘greens’! All the familiar and classical facets of Vetiver here are not about soil but about vegetation – with its velvety freshness, juicy bitterness and zesty air of smothered leaves (instead of roots). This Vetiver is dense and light at the same time, and that is amazing – as it allows to bring this senses’-refeshing vibe – characteristic to top notes – down into the Base, and without losing neither its intensity nor tenacity, plus showing off excelling radiance – in comparison to other Vetivers. Exhilarating essence!

This is one of the Zaltiest Vetivers I have ever smelled. In small amounts, it is an absolute beast for perfumes. In attars, even better. I really wish I could use a lot of Vetiver without the earthiness swallowing up the composition 🙁 , but thats the beauty of Vetiver! 😀
There is a gourmand note of toffee in there I found interesting, but it is so grassy on top of that which make it great for summer themed compositions. I can see how the powdery vibe can help with ambergris, its so good!!
