Vetiver Java Coffee-Chocolate Scented E.O

Adam Michael has this to say “The story here is short and sweet, I sampled this artisan batch, came away very impressed with the evolving scent profile, and quietly bought up the entire production before it was offered to anyone else. I have then aged this material for a further six months from purchase so I can be as sure as I can of how this aromatic should age. My findings being that this will indeed age in the same vein as our current holy grail nine-year aged Java offering. So as the years pass, expect this material to take on more of a pronounced liquorice liquor, dry woody and somewhat light spiced-rooty aroma profile.

As I type however – 06/03/22 – and applied on the strip, neat on skin or even sitting back and inhaling from the bottle, I find this aromatic flying solo to be a profoundly calming and brain stimulating experience, putting out those distinct vetiver earth through to root warmth tonalities, infused with a very heavy presence of roasted coffee beans and finished with a big hit of dark Belgian chocolate. This aromatic has a very gentle almost hypnotic smoky side to its personality, in turn bringing a real sense of maturity to the experience. As we progress this artisan Java reveals classic pencil shaving nuances better associated with Virginian cedarwood, along with tart sticky-liquorice candies, dried earth through to mulch, the scent of fresh tobacco leaves and summertime runner bean skins, damp woods and forest undergrowth. True artisan material free from never-ending corporate intrusion and control.

To sum up, this is a full-bodied, rich-smelling vetiver material, with a very decided, intense character, one for the fellow vetiver-heads and more generally a great introduction to our even more intense (and expensive) Aged vetiver EO. It can work very well within tobacco compositions, impart an interesting twist to gourmands, amber and oriental bases and of course with dark wood-themed materials, resins, opoponax, patchouli, rose accords, Incense Wood and smoky compositions.”
