25th March at 13.10pm: Apologies but my health has gone backwards rapidly in the past few days. After a conversation with Eleonora, at this moment running Hermitage is too much for us. Therefore the countries have all been temporarily removed and no orders can be placed. Please note orders received upto the time of this message will all be dispatched by today. Earlier messages now deleted from the orange banner but note I hope by mid to late next week I can get involved again with the business and reopen the website to E.U countries. New product releases, I have written content for five new aromatics and the plan was, and still is, to get to ten, and release them all in one lot. This will happen across early April. At the sametime the lab is finished, we have set up and we will get staff employed. Written as my own objective this year for the business remains the same, that being to end the stop start and get Hermitage in a position whereby it continues to flourish with or without my daily involvement. Thank you, Adam : | PS - We will reply to emails we may receive upon our return.

Adam Michael has this to say “The top notes of this ylang ylang extra are watery exotic and heady floral, finishing with delicate fruit nuances. The heart and base notes are again warm heady floral with a voluptuous creamy lactonic character and gentle pink pepper spice notes.
The production process of ylang ylang is quite complex and fascinating, so much so I have written an article which you can read here.”
Arctander has this to say “Ylang-Ylang Extra is used mainly in high-class perfumes of the floral and heavy-Oriental type, but mere traces of the oil can do wonders in medium-priced floral bases. There is hardly any floral type, where ylang-ylang “extra” would not fit in. The oil blends excellently with bois de rose, vetiver, amyl salicylate, opopanax, bergamot, hydroxycitronellal, mimosa, cassie, methylionones, cinnamic alcohol and esters, benzoates, para cresyl esters (ethers), nerolidol, Peru balsam oil, vertenex HC, etc. and with gardenia bases, stephanotis bases, tuberose bases, etc.”
Botanical Name: Cananga odorata var. genuina
Origin: Comoros

Once you try this Ylang Ylang extra you will never want to have any other one from another supplier. I tried a lot of them…
Diluted in alcohol it is full bodied joy of highly scented fresh flowers of ylang ylang. Penetrating blend of complex sweet, a bit creamy and exoticaly spicy pale yellow nectar. Surely it works magic in compositions, but on the first “meeting” with it you just wish to smell it again and again and to dive into the depth of this magically scented aroma.
Well, diluted in jojoba it opens differently, restricted by jojoba’s cocoon, which slows down the scent’s volatility. Same ylang ylang but in different dimension.

I have ten types of Ylang and this one from adam is the best of all of them.

Sweet without bitterness. Really excellent and luxury. Decisive drop into various composition. Love that.

Like the other reviewers, I also own different Ylang oils, extra, complete, CO2, absolute, from various suppliers. This is throwing my favorite extra from it’s throne. Very balanced oil, floral creaminess, Ylang lovers will be pleased. And it comes at a great price for this quality too.

What an ylang ylang! Elegant and luxurious. Nothing to do with other ylangs that I tried before. It lasts for a very long time in a strip, keeping its magnificent scent all the way.

Opollock14 said it right, since I tried Hermitage Ylang Ylang extra I would never risk other supplier or other Ylang Ylang from Hermitage :-). This scent is a floral equilibrium, but you can use it in every combination too.

I have many Ylangs in my collection, this is on par with Superior extra that I have acquired many years ago. Deliciously sweet, but not overbearingly so, it has a refinement of a fine ballerina

This oil is creamy, rich, multi-layered and sweet in all the right ways. It so wonderful I find myself drawn to it like never to ylang-ylang oil before. I’m not quite sure what else to say others than I really recommend this one!
