Adam Michael has this to say “What we have here (22.05.25) is Nyctanthes arbor-tristis co2 select extract, aka Coral Jasmine, produced from the fragrant flowers. A true grail piece of the highest order, insanely rare to come by legitimate material ( I appreciate that shouldn’t be a selling point but it actually is) – and it has been on my radar ever since I read Perfume and flavour materials of natural origin by Steffen Arctander many years ago.
First, this is a beast mode aromatic, so much so that I regard this as a bonified naturals super power. From start to finish the profile is super clean and always white floral throughout. These floral notes compromise of orange flower, magnolia flower, jasmine sambac and gardenia, all intwined with a sensual mock orange profile. The backbone here comprises of a dreamy soapy quality that is comparable to how I imagine isolating the soapy aspects found within Indian Jasmine sambacs would smell when infused with ambrettolide (not ambrette) and a big slab of super clean aged white ambergris.
A little goes a very long way, Nyctanthes arbor-tristis co2 patch tested on my skin has hit the 15 hour mark, which must be an all time record in the near 20 years I have worked for Hermitage Oils. On the strip it is still going very strong after 8 days.
Uses, without question this is simply THE natural floral super power to use when you need to turbo charge your floral compositions into full bodied, true to life works of art.”

Absolutely divine. Smells like a fresher but more sensual and exotic orange blossom without any of the indolic depth, together with nuances of powdery sugared almonds, floral bar soap, vanilla and mimosa.

Mmmmmm. Cleanest white floral ever. If you removed all of the indole and muskiness from Jasmine and left only the soapy clean part, this might be it. The weather was so hot here in Chicago, yet this lasted all day…through the humidity and even through a few hours of exercise.
As noted above, the charming white floral smell remains throughout the life of the scent. It is true that after a few hours, this opens up in the space of ambrettolide. The ambergris reference comes into play here because it takes on a sort of solar amber scent. Happy warmth, like skin under the summer sun. What’s most interesting about the ambrettolide development is it blooms a texture that reminds me of dry, hot chilis. I would be most interested in how this would pair with a high-end sandalwood, with hawthorn, and even with olive and ambergris. Maybe coconut if I’m feeling beachy.
