Adam Michael has this to say “The profile of white lotus absolute is drop dead gorgeous, an aquatic spiritually uplifting, impactful, uniformed masterpiece. The producer has quite an array of aromatics on offer as do most in India, however for me, this producer excels in two products only – the first being Pink Lotus absolute and the other, this White Lotus absolute.
The aroma is warm, play-doh, floral, a little liquorice liquor, crayola waxy, honeyed, a little dark fruit jammy, a little marzipan esq, with trace cinnamic and karo-karounde concrete vibes. Silly to type but to me this feels in the form of scent, like that of receiving a big cuddle from somebody you truly and deeply love so so much. It is such a comforting and cosy aroma.
Other notes, possibly trace earthy, spiced, again in a trace cinnamic form with a plethora of aquatic floral qualities. For me, Pink Lotus is the more serious aroma profile in absolute form – less sweet, much more earthy, with a more pronounced crayola backbone – and this white lotus absolute is much more soulful, child-like with such an infectiously happy care-free personality.
I really love this absolute and we should have carried it years ago. Produced by solvent extraction of the white flower concrete, brick-orange in colour, of a slight gloopy viscosity and highly-recommend to everyone.”

Well, the fact that while sold out this entry has not been removed to the archives, leaves the hope that one day the supply will be replenished and my review may be of the relevance, so I leave it here (while avoiding to repeat any notions of the idiosyncratic Crayola pencils 🙂
Lotus essences (at their best) are like Art-Nouveau models on a poster for Parisian Cabaret or dazzling Burleque dancers immortalized mid-performance by Impressionist painter –
sensually captivating, dynamic in their beauty – assimetrically tilted in a striking, acrobatically convoluted poses, stretching their alluring curves in defying, elongated lines, occasionally throwing provocative gestures and showing-off enticingly.
Yet, their magnetism is all about the slyly, artfully calculated Choreography of Seduction, that separates their Volupte &Thrill – from bore & crude clumsiness:
it is the Polished Precision, of these whimsical curves taken to the perfectly right extremity – while still fully posessing the Flow of Grace – spiced with the intoxicating yet staged Intrigue of erotic insinuations – this is the spectacular and elusive Magic of Lotus essence
(and this one I shall call ‘Burlesque Delight’):
particularly obvious when the essence is in concetrated form, this absolute has a complex undercurrent of stirring notes of Funk and even of Carnal Raunch – yet of the vegetative-swampy (not animalic) nature – something of pond-submerged decaying stems and leaves mixed with fermented Rye sourdough, mingled with mineralic coolness of wet clay and dark richness of silt…
Above all that – in a sheer contrast – the scent is taking the aromatic ‘curve from this ‘dark bottom’ up and high – it joyfully leaps in a lush and diffusive stream of ambrosial bittersweet Nectar – of golden, shimmering Honey collected from bright and happy meadow flowers of many pastel shades – adorned with gourmand-deepening touches of powdery Pollen and almost-medicinal edge of Propolis pungency. With a twist I consider ironic, there is another delicate overtone of nearly soapy touch – as if to complement all that wealth of carnal sensuality – with innocent cleanness (akin vintage baby powder when it was made from aged Orris root) – probably the one that Moulin-Rouge dancers used to apply – to offset their athletic sweat from all that Cancan…
At some mid-point on its timeline, the scent morphs into a loughing and winking sibling of Roman Cassie – a savory-sweet powdery cloud of profusely blooming Mimosa’s sunny fluffs.
There is rather graphic juxtaposition of Shadow and Light in this immaculate-dirty scent. Yet, after smelling the essence attentively and for a while, i came to detect another, somewhat unexpected, hidden part of its Magic –
in between all these contrasting notes of glowing floral lightness and anchoring swampy funk, there is a plush ‘Velvet Wall’ – a furry-soft connecting tissue at the back of the scent, binding everything together while keeping it limber-flowing and lithe, extending even further that captivating feel of ravishing, corporeal, smoothly and confidently expressed Extravagance… ‘Burlesque Delight’.
