Adam Michael has this to say “So what we have here is vetiver bourbon absolute produced in March 2019.
This definitely takes time to fire up on the strip and it’s easy to think this is just a mellowed vetiver with an intensely smooth creamy milky chocolate body finished with coffee and caramel qualities. No bad thing at all and testament to how vetiver and time are best friends. However if you really take your time and evaluate closely, you find there is much more going on under the bonnet here.
First, the chocolate tonalities are a vast experience in themselves, milky, dark, creamy, a pinch salty, trace floral and possibly fruit fused at times. Next there are trace smoky, roasted coffee beans, grassy, rooty, leather and tobacco notes in play. The base even showcases fresh air effects that I associate with wild and not cultivated offerings, plus the woody character is mid-spectrum, so soft floral woody, dry woody, wood smoke, decay woody, cold forest foliage woody, even a tad moss woody at times.
Yet isn’t this what vetiver connoisseurs love about vetiver, the vastness of scent, the intricacies, the surprises, the journey. If yes, then this is a limited batch of vetiver worthy of your time and attention. Perfumers, I don’t have a never ending bounty of this in my stash, so honestly this is more of a collection piece unless you are wanting to utilise this within a small run.
Uses, although this does not scratch the surface of the plethora of uses here – this vetiver bourbon absolute a long lasting heart and base note, a must for rich gourmand accords, Oriental bases, masculine creations, building woody-amber notes, pairs great with jasmine, roses, oakmoss and sweet smelling ouds and generally can be a harmoniser for woody rich profiles.”

Sebastian (verified owner) –
My new favorite vetiver.
Gourmand from start to finish.
Dark chocolate, coffee, and an almost cool sweetness from top to middle.
On the drydown, when other vetivers become dusty, sticky and earthy, this one remains gourmand.
Instead, it becomes airier, brighter, and its elegant sweetness increases even further.
mmmh.
