22nd August 2024: Quick note on Bergamot FCF batch SEASON23BFCF. The batch has been retested, and it still smells flawless due to being stored in optimal conditions. As such the best before has now been altered to 30.06.25. So everyone is aware, when we sell citrus, we apply a 12 month best before date as a precaution. However the producers nearly always put two years or more on the product as standard. Thank you, Adam : )
11th April 2023: As I type we now have 2023 season Bergamot E.O FCF Super Premium for sale. Woo-Hoo.
We have selected the green type aroma again for 2023. Reason being we are in love with this aroma profile. The freshness, the juicy candied aspects, the green rind qualities, the tart sparkle, its all here in abundance. This truly is an absolutely gorgeous gold standard Italian aromatic. Thank you, Adam : )
Adam Michael has this to say “As I type I am happy to say after sampling lots of batches of bergamot fcf essential oil here in Italy, I have unearthed one that I love enough to want to offer at Hermitage Oils. This also fits with my objective of offering world class Italian citrus aromatics and showcasing just how stunning citrus oils can really be.
Aromatically this material has instant impact, full of very bright citrus and floral fresh breeze oomph, a green bitter citrus tang, candied aspects, oh so clean, piercing, sparkling, refreshing, addictive, and just absolutely mouth-watering beautiful throughout.
The FC level comes in collectively at 0.48 PPM (parts per million), that’s about 30 times less than what could be offered on the market as bergamot fcf essential oil, and thus what we have here is an IFRA compliant lover’s dream. Cold pressed produced and then rectified to remove the furocoumarins.
A no expense spared bottle of bergamot fcf, a must for the perfumer who uses bergamot and of whom wants to make the perfect opening impressions on his or her clients. The kilo weight is only available to those who reside in the European Union. We now also have a section dedicated to Italian citrus essential oils here.
Botanical Name: Citrus bergamia
Origin: Italy
Colour: CLEAR
Wholesale weights (all prices excluding vat): 250G = 140 Euros.
This material is produced by a world leader of citrus within Italy. If you reside outside of Italy you have to buy this material via the producers official distributors list, who in turn sell smaller weights onto little businesses like Hermitage and our online competition. As we live in Italy we can buy directly and resell the material in small volumes and weights at unbeatable prices. Store this material in the fridge when not in use and you can enjoy this material at its best for 12 months.

This was the reason I ordered from hermitage, I needed a bergamot that would shine. Adam put it so high up, and all the others I have tried (fcf free) just weren’t cutting it. I bought a lot other stuff, and I a glad I did. And this was just as superb as Adam said: bergamot w elements of citron sweet, petit grain floral, and sparkle. It lifts a bit later, so a late top, just a very pretty reliable bergamot( which is in every single formula)

I love bergamot. This one is wonderful and it is great that it is fcf. The scent is bright and fresh and can be combined with almost any other fragrance.

Oh yes, this is up there! Sometimes I struggle with bergamot, it lacks something or is too soapy or old fashioned. This runs rings around any bergamot fcf I’ve ever come across, lively, sparkley and pretty wow actually!

Fantastic bergamot. Smells cleaner than average, and still has that deep and broad citrus characteristic of bergamot. Very pleasing.

I now understand why bergamot is such a staple of perfumery.
I tend to use this one in basically everything which is not ideal for some top notes diversity, but it feels just so right.
Quite surprised it’s so ahead of other bergamot eo i tried considering it has been rectified.

Most complete Bergamot that I have ever experienced. It is very clean and complex at the same time, with many subtle nuances.
If I could, that’s the only Bergamot I would ever use

Among the Hermitage Citrus collection, this is one of my all time favorites. As a Bergamot addict and someone who cannot live without this particular aromatic, upon receiving Hermitage’s Italian variety, I had to discard all Bergamot previously acquired. It is Bergamot on steroids.

This is not just an essential oil. It is stand-alone perfume that I am happy wearing on its own. I can imagine a Hermes cologne modeled solely on this oil. It is simply so good. It has a citrus character which is deep and multifaceted. I wouldn’t be surprised if I was told other citrus oil had been added to it. It also has a subtle floral dimension.

Invest in Adam. I’m serious! Invest in his philosophy, in his passion for beauty and in his best essences. All he sends me is luxury and really strong energy. Thank you, Adam. This bergamot really took my breath away. Excellent as always!

Bergamot is my favorite citrus, and this is the best bergamot I’ve tried. Enough said! More sparkle and complex floral touches than other citruses. This also lasts longer than most bergamot oils while also having a cleaner scent profile, which makes me suspect many others have been diluted or adulterated…
I got both the yellow 2021 / green 2022 batches, and prefer the green one despite expecting the opposite. It’s got more classic zingy bergamot character. The yellow batch comes across more restrained and not as vibrant, with a slight rose/geranium feel to it. But it all depends on the blend you’re going for.

Wildly more vivid and fresh than any bergamot I have ever used, like all the citrus at Hermitage. Will be using this for an Autumn Chypre, and maybe a moody rose.
