Adam Michael has this to say “The aroma of buddha wood CO2 is soft, aged leather, mossy and faintly whiskey like. This follows with a rainbow of woods, all beautifully layered together resulting in a masterpiece balsamic woody bouquet and finishing with sweet caramel nuances.
Also known as desert rosewood and false sandalwood. This material is extracted from the heartwood of the tree and in natural perfumery it can be used as a general fixative, and for precious wood accords, incense perfumes, forest notes and sacred essences. Used by Aboriginals for infections, cuts and abrasions. Some of the major constituents are as follows, 21.5% eremophilone, 14.8% hydroxyl dihydroxy eremophilone and 33% hydroxyl eremophilone.”
Botanical Name: Eremophila mitchellii
Origin: Australia (Queensland)
Select/Total Extract: Select

Love it!
You need to smell it several times before your brain can recognize the presence of it.
When i smell it reminds me of some kind of sweet gentle woody jungle flower.

Most Buddha Wood materials bore me, but this CO2 extract is full of subtle nuance and has a honeybush and rooibos tea notes that are quite charming. As alessandro.cigala said, it does take some time for it to unfold, especially if you’ve been evaluating other scents, but it’s worth the dedication.

This is a subtle substance, I get a gentle caramel honeybush tea, rooibos tea, dried chamomile flower, hay, if there was a taste of cashew nut but in smell form, slightly sweet, buttery, with floral but licheny/dry mossy-ness, polished /brushed nubuck leather, gentle woody vanilla resin, delicate hint of wood smoke, lush old varnish cedar fence heated up in the sun.

Just a beautiful material resembling a dry, tropical wood, toasted vanilla notes, at times I get notes of tobacco in a hot climate. The oil is warming in a way that does not crowd out other materials, with the potential to add richness to base notes. I’ve combined it with Narcissus and Rose Otto and have amazed by the results.
