Cambodian Wild Oud Signature Gold (3 Years Aged)

Adam Michael has this to say “Wild Cambodian oud, our first time offering wild material and just wow wow and wow. If you know the profile of Cambodian oud then this will be instantly recognisable. The top is bursting with horse hair, leather, moss, cresol, lacquered wood tonalities and finished with an almost fresh aquatic-mineral esq note to my nose that is just mind-blowingly good. By comparison with plantation Cambodian oud, it is very evident that this wild offering provides a more refined, smooth and polished experience.

The notes within the heart to dry down are chiefly the same albeit with a greater focus on the woody aspects and supported with earth, something gourmand  – possibly cocoa and trace green components.
Life span on my skin stands at 8 hours, over 10 days and counting on the strip, of a pourable viscosity, and subject to volume/weight the colour is amber through to dark red/chocolate brown.
It is of course my business to try and source outstanding quality aromatics, but sometimes aromatics come along that completely wow me. This is one such aromatic. Like many I have sampled Cambodian oud from lots and lots of vendors over the years and I raved about our plantation offering back in that 2014 write-up. However what I have in this batch in April 2026, is next level and actually hands down the best Cambodian oud I have personally ever experienced in life. It is truly sublime, one for the perfumers yes but an absolute and complete must-buy for the fellow hardcore oud-heads whilst we have this batch in stock. On my score card this is a perfect 10 out of 10 all day long.

Uses, a must for woody accords, leather bases, providing incredible depth even below the threshold of conscious detection. Generally great used sparingly to add touches of animalic qualities and increase longevity without actually adding animalics. Overall this injects a big dose of masculinity and charm to all compositions fortunate enough to be graced by this incredible real Wild Cambodian oud.”
