Adam Michael has this to say “This jasmine tea co2 is aromatic perfection. First the leaves of Camellia sinensis are picked. Pre-bloom sambac jasmine is also picked. The two materials are mixed together. The jasmine flower opens and within 3 to 4 hours the tea leaves have absorbed the jasmine scent. The leaves are then subjected to high pressure extraction with supercritical carbon dioxide to produce this otherworldly smelling jasmine tea co2 material.
The aroma opens with an abundance of sweet jasmine flowers and lots of gentle tea character. The heart and base notes are more jasmine heady-floral orientated with a ylang ylang quality. The tea notes really grow in intensity and in a refreshing floral direction. The colour is yellowy-green and of a pourable viscosity. On the smelling strip the aroma lasts for two days.”
Mark Evans has this to say “As Adam describes above, this CO2 was extracted from tea leaves after they have been infused with Jasmine Sambac blooms, but before they are roasted and dried or processed any further. So the extraction is taken straight from the still green leaves which have probably wilted and oxidised just a little. The result is a wonderfully bright and uplifting fresh jasmine and green tea perfumed experience that makes me smile in pleasure every time I open the bottle.
The jasmine fragrance is true to the sambac flower itself in all its green, heady enchantment. Luckily, the funky smelling indoles that are characteristic of jasmine blooms when they are a day old are just not present here at all. There is some juiciness there – pear and apple – along with a little underlying woodiness. The tea note is there as well, a fresh, iced, green tea adding a backdrop for all the excitement up front.
I would highly recommend this CO2 for use in floral colognes or any light, airy or aromatic creation needing a boost of green jasmine in the top notes and a subtle tea in the heart.”
SAFETY DATA:
This product contains ethanol and water and has a flash point of 21c. This material will not dilute in carrier oil or in diluents such as IPM due to the water content. Therefore this material is solely of use to the perfumer. We advise in perfumery that this material is used at up to about 10% of the composition. If you work with pre-diluted materials at 10% in ethanol then this material should be used neat. For those who prefer to work with pure materials, jasmine sweet tea CO2 should be added last because the mixture will go cloudy at that point – once the ethanol is added to dilute to EdT strength it will go clear again – but leaving it clouded for days on end risks bacterial growth starting so isn’t wise.
Always keep the cap securely fastened on the bottle when not in use. The bottle should have plenty of air space and we provide this material in larger bottles to allow sufficient air space. Store and handle in a well- ventilated place. Keep cool.

Gorgeous material, delicately bold, soft, dry suave and smoothly astringent but not at all sharp or overly bitter. I can’t wait to create something with this!

Beautiful and authentic material, light, herbal, floral but not indolic. Blends well with many materials, especially Vetiver.

I have ordered this material several times over the years, always keeping at least one bottle in reserve, just in case Hermitage would run into a shortage for this unique treasure. Far superior to any other Tea CO2 I have ever sampled, this will not only give you the sense of your favorite cuppa but transport your senses with the characteristic notes of true jasmine flowers. The combination is nothing short of divine. One of my five top favorite materials from Hermitage.

I added jasmine tea to boost a jasmine accord and I adore the slightly green, astringent, and, dare I say, sweet ‘stewed tea’ note it brings. It mutes any overly indolic, headiness of the jasmines while partnering them perfectly. I know it takes a bit more handling as you need to add last to any neat oil maceration, but it’s worth the thought, and definitely a material I am enthralled with.

This is a lovely jasmine material. I tinctured a jasmine tea and it was a bit too earthy for me so I decided I should try this Jasmine Tea CO2 and wow – amazing stuff! Smells just like I had hoped my tincture would with a beautiful tea-like effect and all the floral wonderfulness of jasmine.

Soft, fragile and almost like a whiff of white frangipani…. is like holding a single flower of this eternal beauty near your nose and your imagination travels in a summer afternoon that jasmine blossoms at its best..excellent

Of course jasmine tea is a thing: I drink it a lot.
This transcends Jasmine tea.
Accords are what perfume is about: this transcends accords.
This is tea -and Jasmine-and Jasmine tea; but it is really its own element.
The tea is musky tannins just at the end of the inhale. The Jasmine is an enveloping presence without dominance.
This is a new addition, but an ageless vibe.
It would ant particularly delicate , as teas usually are. On skin it is tannins( but no harshness), light floral Jasmine, sweet musk, a touch of pear.
A top note, or a skin mid-I think this is material bent towards intimacy.

Eeeekkkk!!! What a lovely feminine, fun and flirty scent! I literally can’t get enough of jasmine. When it’s in bloom, I stop at every yard that grows it in my neighborhood to smell it on my daily walks haha. The neighbors haven’t stopped me yet so I guess they don’t mind :)) This really is just a beautiful floral with luscious green tea notes. I’ve blended it with Hermitage’s Black Tea and can’t wait to play more with it! TY Hermitage!
