Adam Michael has this to say “As I type it is the 22nd November 2019 and I am setting up our Made in Italy category, aimed at showcasing the finest essential oils Italy has to offer. After musing for a few months, I have decided to drop English melissa essential oil from our offering and replace it with Italian grown melissa essential oil. The reason is I live in Italy and within two hours of this Tuscany based producer. The quality is absolutely mind blowing and comes with a far more affordable price point than English grown material.
Melissa essential oil has many equally common names such as lemon balm, bee balm, sweet balm and according to age old reading material this oil is or was referred to as heart’s delight. The aroma is very refreshing with a fresh breeze of soft floral notes entwined with soul calming, soft honey, sweet lemon and herbaceous nuances throughout.
Therapeutically of immense value for treating anxiety, depression, shock, vertigo and generally should be considered as one of the very best oils for symptoms connected to the nervous system. Also has value when dabbed neat on the skin if you get stung by bees and overall melissa is a truly feel good oil that lifts spirits and improves well-being. Photo taken by me in Italy.”
Botanical Name: Melissa officinalis
Origin: Italy (Produced in Tuscany)

Radiant melissa:)
Sparkling, sweet luscious lemony notes with strong foliage green.
Very true to the herb.
Utter perfection, so glad that I ordered it.
2 drops of this eo, 3 drops of rose oil(absolute, otto or concrete)1 drop of angelica root oil and 1 table spoon of fatty oil, rub all over lower back and stomach area down to the front thighs.
Powerful tonic to all female hormone related imbalances.
Hermitageoils is a GIFT that keeps on giving,
May we all learn to share our bounty like Adam does:)

Stunning ! The high proportion of the desirable geraniAL (natural aldehyde AKA citral, not geraniOL) gives an incredible lift to any composition. This could be compared to the purest Litsea cubeba oil but with even more sparkling effect. Picture this: 1% of this incredible sparkling top-note gives an incredible lift to my Cologne composition. This is a true beauty. And from Tuscany ? Are you kidding ? Even better !

I really love the smell of lemon balm. It grows in the garden of my country house, and we always add fresh leaves of the plant to tea, and also dry them for the winter.
Melissa lives up to its name – balm. Its herbal, sweet, honey, lemon scent is incredibly soothing and harmonizing. This is a real “heart balm”.
Lemon balm oil from Tuscany is simply magnificent, it is a must-try for all connoisseurs of exquisite aromas.

The scent is fresh and lemony. A fragrance that brightens up and brings harmony. It is very good and just like the real herb itself.
